The purpose of this page is to provide participants the opportunity to familiarise themselves with:
- The format of the RCM Workshops
- The RCM Home Page
- The RCM Course Timetable
- Useful information supporting your learning experience.
RCM Format
This RCM Awareness Course is meant as a quick run through of where RCM has come from, what it is and how it is used. The course is Tutor led and includes some exercises and Q&A sessions. Its objective is to make students aware of what RCM is and how it is applied and in no way does it enable students to carry out RCM analysis. The RCM Foundation course is aimed at those who will be involved in a RCM study led by a RCM Facilitator / Practitioner.
During this course RCM groups of up to 5 participants will work together virtually to complete the course workshop activity, with support from the experienced Atkins RCM Tutors as required. The workshops will, predominately, be based on the scenario of the Rolling Mill Cooling Water Supply.
The workshop will be delivered virtually using either ZOOM Pro or Webex, with participants and tutors located throughout the country. If you have not already done so, please visit our virtual test page to ensure you are ready to participate in the workshops.
On the first day you will be granted access into the virtual environment and assigned a team, which you will remain in for the duration of the course. Each team will operate in a breakout room to complete each of the workshop, where you will be able to work collaboratively within your Teams online area.
